The Yellow River Water Trail is a valuable resource for recreation, education and stewardship increasing and improving public access to the the Yellow River through environmentally sensitive launch and landing sites for non-motorized boats. The Yellow River Water Trail has beautiful places of historical, cultural and recreational significance. It provides users the opportunity to make day trips and in the future as the water trail network grows, longer multi-day trips with riverside camping available. Put-in and take-out points are located approximately every 4-6 miles. Additional opportunities are available for local citizens to get involved in Georgia River Network, Georgia Water Coalition, Georgia Adopt-A-Stream, River's Alive, Keep Georgia Beautiful and other conservation partners.
